As many as 14 AFL clubs are set to host some of 2024's top draft stars over the coming months as part of the AFL Academy program.

Recent top draft selections Harley Reid (Essendon), Zane Duursma (Melbourne ) and Nick Watson (Hawthorn) all took part in pre-season programs with AFL clubs ahead of the 2023 season, with at least 20 of next year's top teenagers set to follow suit this pre-season.

As confirmed byย Zero Hanger last month, Carlton and Brisbane will host father-son prospects at training as part of their own plans for 2024.

Blues-linked twins Lucas and Ben Camporeale will train at Princes Park, with the sons of Carlton premiership player Scott set to make the trip from South Australia this summer.

Brisbane father-son talent Levi Ashcroft has already begun learning the ropes in Springfield and will be joined by Lions Academy prospect Sam Marshall in training with this year's grand finalists.

According toย AFL.com.au,ย Adelaide will have father-son prospect Tyler Welsh and South Australia MVP Sid Draper at West Lakes this summer as part of the AFL Academy program.

20 of the 26 members of the 2024 AFL Academy have been appointed to AFL clubs, with potential No.1 pick Finn O'Sullivan set to train with Duursma at North Melbourne, with the pair teammates at Vic Country this year.

Oakleigh Chargers midfielder Jagga Smith will train with Richmond alongside teammate Tom Gross, while Hawthorn will be home to big-bodied Eastern Ranges onballer Josh Smillie and Gippsland runner Xavier Lindsay.

Gold Coast Academy prospect Leonardo Lombard, who featured in the Suns' VFL premiership team in September, is set to train at Carrara.

Sydney will have Academy talent Joel Cochran taking part in their pre-season program, while West Coast Next Generation Academy prospect Malakai Champion will train with the Eagles.

Jobe Shanahan (Essendon), Bo Allan (Fremantle), Archer Day-Wicks (Essendon), Jonty Faull (Geelong), Harvey Langford (Melbourne) and Sam Lalor (Western Bulldogs) will also train with AFL clubs over the coming months.
