A total of 16 players from 13 AFL clubs will earn promotions to their respective primary lists after previously being placed on the rookie list.
Players are unable to serve longer than three years on the rookie list, leading to eventual promotions as clubs look to manage their squads for 2024 and beyond.
As revealed by AFL.com.au's Cal Twomey, headlining the list is Hawthorn star and 2022 AFLCA Best Young Player Jai Newcombe, who signed with the Hawks through the Mid-Season Draft two years ago.
Collingwood has already confirmed duo Oleg Markov and Ash Johnson will be part of the club's primary list for their premiership defence next year, while St Kilda (Mason Wood and Liam Stocker) and Fremantle (Bailey Banfield and Josh Treacy) have also made multiple promotions from their rookie list.
Geelong, GWS, North Melbourne, Port Adelaide and West Coast are the only clubs that have not made primary list promotions.
