Overall

Bolton is a freakish talent who can simply do things other players can't. He has brilliant pace, can weave through traffic and can leap over an opponent's shoulders and take a hanger.

He also has a good sense for goal and has kicked impressive bags at Under-18 level.

However, Bolton can be flashy at times and lacks consistency and the ability to rack up huge numbers.

If he can add some size, consistency and ball winning ability to his game, he could work his way into the midfield later in his career, although he will appeal to recruiters as an exciting half-forward/ forward pocket player.
