Overview
After an impressive Under-18s carnival, Naughton was thrust into the WAFL seniors for Peel Thunder where he continued his good form. Against mature bodies, he looked comfortable and pressed his case for an AFL spot.
Naughton is fairly agile for a big man and coupled with his impressive reading of play, can easily find his way through heavy traffic. His kicking has been criticised at times for being loopy but can generally hit his targets.
But without a doubt, Naughton's best asset is his marking. He can read the play well which allows him to get into prime position to collect uncontested intercept marks. He is also strong overhead, giving him a strong advantage in contested marking situations too.
