AFL Football runs through Ed's blood being Grandson to Collingwood premiership player Ron and great nephew to the late great Lou Richards. The defender/Inside midfielder is a very effective user of the football especially when he gets it on his left foot. When playing in the Midfield he uses quick and clean hand to his and the teams advantage.

For a young draft prospect the effective decision making that he posses is nothing but a positive for clubs looking at taking him. Despite injuring his knee in round one of the TAC Cup he had a strong end of the year finding himself playing more down back.
