2023 AFL Trade, Free Agency and Draft dates confirmed

The AFL has confirmed the dates for the 2023 Trade Period, Free Agency window and Drafts, with the player movement period to commence less than a week after the 2023 Grand Final.
Free agency will open on Friday, October 6 at 9:00am (all times AEDT) - six days after the 2023 season concludes. Free agency will run until Friday, October 13 at 5:00pm.
The 2023 Trade Period will commence on Monday, October 9 from 9:00am until Wednesday, October 18 at 7:30pm.
Clubs will be able to trade draft picks between Monday, October 23 at 9:00am until 5:00pm on Friday, November 10, as well as the initial Trade Period.
The first of three delisted free agency windows will run from Wednesday, November 1 at 9:00am until Wednesday, November 8 at 5:00pm. Following a list lodgement for AFL clubs, delisted free agency will then re-open on Friday, November 10 between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
The National Draft will be held over two nights, with first-round selections to be taken on Monday, November 20. The remaining selections will take place on Tuesday, November 21.
The third delisted free agency period will commence following the conclusion of the National Draft.
On Wednesday, November 22 the Pre-Season Draft and Rookie Draft will both take place at 3:00pm and 3:20pm respectively.
The AFL has also confirmed dates for draft nominations and combines, which will take place across October and mid-November.
