North Melbourne and Brisbane Lions are set to battle it out for the 2023 AFLW Premiership.
Both teams had very close preliminary final encounters with the Roos defeating the Crows by one point and the Lions defeating the Cats by four.
The right to host the grand final was earned by the Roos after they beat reigning premiers Melbourne in the qualifying final and also after minor premiers Adelaide lost their qualifying final, putting the Roos in a top-seeded position.
North will play in their first grand final, but this will be the Lions' fifth grand final - already having a taste of success in 2021 in winning the premiership. The Lions having consecutive grand final experiences may work in their favour on Sunday afternoon as North prepare for their first grand final appearance.
We take a quick look at everything you need to know ahead of the first bounce.
The Roos and Lions played each other in Round 4, which was a fierce and high-intensity match. The Lions got the win by a close margin of two points.
North came out of the blocks holding the Lions to only one goal at half-time, but the Lions came back out strong in the second half, kicking four unanswered goals in the third and fourth quarters to get the narrow win.
Roos Ash Riddell and Jasmine Garner both had huge games with 30+ disposals each. Lion Ally Anderson was impressive with 28 disposals, though it was Brisbane's finish and composure that saw them able to close the game out.
Lions captain Breanna Koenen will need to have a good game to help lead her team to another premiership.
All-Australian Roos midfield combo Riddell and Garner will both have to be in their best form on Sunday for the Roos to win.
Do not underestimate youngster Jade Ellenger who has had a great back end of the season for Brisbane.
All Australian Roos defender Emma Kearney will have to be pivotal down in defence to shut down the Lions forward line.
Brisbane have not ruled out star Dakota Davidson for the decider after the key forward her knee in Saturday night's preliminary final as she was cleared of any serious issues. However, she will have to prove her fitness up until the opening bounce on Sunday.
It's anticipated the game will be a very tightly contested and high-intensity game, going down to the final wire.
