Geelong's Ollie Dempsey took out the Rising Star Award with 52 of a possible 55 votes, while Harry Sheezel (Coaches' Best Young Player) and Harley Reid (AFLPA's Best First-Year Player) were also awarded as some of the best emerging players in the game.
GWS forward Jesse Hogan, who was one of seven first-time selections in this year's All-Australian side, was officially awarded this year's Coleman Medal.
