Adam Kingsley has taken no time in transforming this Giants list back into a contender, taking the New South Wales side to within one point of a grand final return.

After a 16th-placed finish in 2022, Kingsley was brought into the hot seat to steer the Giants back toward the top, with a new brand of fast-paced football helping them almost get there in just one year.

Now turning to 2024, the Giants will be looking at how they can not only remain competitive but potentially go a step further under Kingsley's guidance.

2024 expectations

The Giants have backed in internal improvement following their top four finish, deciding against getting active in the player market and instead looking to hone the skillsets of those that saw them rise up the ladder last year.

They'll be backed to finish in the top eight once again, but a second chance come finals might be hard to come by as a number of fellow premiership aspirants also look to improve on impressive 2023 campaigns.

We got to see what Adam Kingsley could bring to the league last year, and now it's a matter of potentially adjusting his game plan for the season ahead.

Star Player: Toby Greene

The GWS skipper flourished in the leading role for the Giants last year, booting 66 goals to be named captain of the All-Australian team.

With less reliance on having an impact in midfield, Greene is able to work on what he does best in the front half of the field with his match-winning exploits and determination often causing headaches for the opposition.

Viewed as arguably the best player in the competition, the veteran attacker will be crucial in the Giants' premiership chances this year.
