Brisbane young gun Will Ashcroft polled 14 of a possible 15 votes to claim the 2024 Norm Smith Medal in Brisbane's 60-point grand final win over Sydney.

Ashcroft, in his 31st AFL game, recorded 30 disposals, nine contested possessions, five clearances, 11 score involvements and a goal in the victory to be adjudged best afield.

The 20-year-old, who returned from an ACL injury this year, was one of four players to earn Norm Smith Medal votes, as teammates Lachie Neale, Callum Ah Chee and Kai Lohmann also polled

Ashcroft was voted as the best player by four of the five judges, with the other giving him two votes. Neale, who tallied the second most votes with eight, was given one three-vote nod.

Neale earned votes from four of the five judges, while Ah Chee earned at least one vote from all five to poll seven votes.

Lohmann earned one Norm Smith Medal vote to finish fourth overall.
