The WAFL's 2024 Sandover Medal has been shared between Swan Districts ball magnet Nik Rokahr and Claremont midfielder Callan England following a thrilling count on Monday evening.

The pair polled 19 votes each to split the honour as the league's best and fairest player for the year, with East Perth's Mitch Crowden trailing by just a single vote to round out the podium.

South Fremantle duo Matthew Parker and Haiden Schloithe were joined by England's teammate Oliver Eastland on 17 votes each, while another Swan Districts recruit in Jye Chalcraft and Peel Thunder's Neil Erasmus polled 16 votes following strong seasons in the WAFL.

Jesse Turner joined Rokahr and Chalcraft in making the top 10, tying with Angus Schumacher on 15 votes.

England polled in nine of his 20 matches of the year, while Rokahr polled in eight games - including four maximum-vote performances.

Ex-Docker Crowden polled a perfect nine votes in the final three rounds to come home with a wet sail and secure a third-placed finish.

Monday's ceremony also saw West Perth spearhead Tyler Keitel awarded with his fourth Bernie Naylor Medal and second in as many seasons after booting 56 goals - one shy of his 2023 tally.
