Details for two of the VFL's 2024 finals series have been confirmed, with semi-finals to be played in Victoria and Queensland between four clubs hailing from those two states.

After losing to Werribee over the weekend, Geelong will host Southport at Kardinia Park on Saturday at 11:35 am (all times AEST) in a bid to keep their season alive.

The Sharks progressed through to the coming week off the back of their demolition of Frankston in an elimination final- a game that tallied almost 300 points between the two standalone sides.

The affair between the Cats and Sharks will be broadcast on Channel Seven, with the winner to face Footscray in the penultimate weekend of the season.

Having fallen to the Bulldogs by four points at Whitten Oval on Saturday, Brisbane's VFL side will meet with Williamstown in Queensland.

The Lions and Seagulls will go head-to-head at 12:45 pm, with the winner of that game to face Werribee next week.

Williamstown managed to upset Box Hill in their elimination final over the weekend, containing their strong post-season, which started with a Wildcard Round bout with Richmond.
