Untried Port Adelaide defender Tom McCallum has been been shown the door at the club after not receiving a contract extension for 2025.
McCallum was taken with pick 36 in the 2022 National Draft out of the Tasmania Devils, spending two seasons developing at reserves level in the SANFL.
20 years old, standing 193cm, the young tall has battled injury but displayed some potential as a versatile talent, playing forward and back in his 30 games for the Port Adelaide Magpies across 2023 and 2024.
He impressed with two goals and 16 disposals in a Round 13 win over North Adelaide, but has struggled overall, featuring in just four wins from his 13 appearances in 2024.
Tom McCallum has been informed that he will not be offered a contract for 2025.

โWe thank Tom for his contribution to the club over the past two years,โ Port Adelaide list manager Jason Cripps said.
โHe has dealt with some injury challenges over his time at the club but has shown patience and resilience.
โWe wish him all the best for the next chapter of his career.โ
The move opens up a necessary list spot for the Power as they venture into the off-season, seeking to add Jack Lukosius, Harry Perryman, Isaac Cumming and Joe Richards from rival clubs.
They are preparing to move on Dan Houston, while Charlie Dixon and Trent McKenzie have called time on their careers.
A call is yet to be made on veteran Travis Boak, who is weighing up whether to play on in a 19 AFL season.
