Adelaide veteran Taylor Walker will pull on a Crows jumper for an 18th season after penning a one-year extension at West Lakes.

The club's all-time leading goalkicker, Walker will add to his 278 games with the Crows next year after extending his contract.

The new deal places Walker in reaching distance of the 300-game milestone, potentially becoming just the fifth Adelaide player to do so.

โ€œBeing a one-club player means a lot to me and I still feel I have plenty to contribute to the team,โ€ he said in a club statement.

โ€œI love working with our exciting young forward line and get a lot of satisfaction out of seeing them develop their own games.

โ€œAs a team, we didn't get the results we wanted this year, but that only makes me more determined to continue working hard to get our Club back to where it belongs.โ€

Walker has kicked 641 goals across his AFL career with the Crows, 76 of which came in a career-best season last year.

The veteran sharpshooter played 18 games in 2024 for a return of 29 goals and 16 assists.

โ€œYou can't measure what Tex brings on and off the field for our football club,โ€ Adelaide list manager Justin Reid said.

โ€œThe fact that his playing career is continuing well into his 30s speaks to his professionalism and the way he approaches his training and preparation.

โ€œHe drives high standards and makes his teammates better and we're very pleased that will continue for another season.โ€

Walker joined the Crows via the 2007 AFL Draft out of Broken Hill and has won the club's season goalkicking award in seven separate seasons to go with a maiden All-Australian selection last year.

The 34-year-old was also captain of the club from 2015-2019.
