Adelaide have announced new deals for duo Lachie Sholl and Brayden Cook, who have both signed two-year extensions to remain at West Lakes until the end of 2026.
Sholl's two-year deal will see him reach seasons seven and eight with the Crows after being drafted in 2018 with the 64th overall selection.
The 24-year-old has played 68 games for the club since his debut in 2020, with the young ball-winner on track to reach a career-high for games played in a single season this year.
Sholl has featured in 14 matches under Matthew Nicks, including the past 12, averaging a career-best 20.86 disposals, 2.21 tackles and 5.36 marks per game and a return of 11 goals.
Cook has played 13 games at AFL level this season after amassing just the 12 in his three years prior to 2024, including just the one game last year.
The South Adelaide product has booted 12 goals in 2024, including hauls of three against North Melbourne and Hawthorn.
“Not many work harder on their game behind the scenes than Sholly and it's great to see him continuing to develop and be rewarded with consistent high-level form this season,” Adelaide list manager Justin Reid said.
“His two-way running to help in defence while also working forward and presenting a threat in front of goal makes him a really valuable part of our team.
“And Brayden has also had to put his head down and go to work in his first few years on the list and we are now seeing the result of that patience and dedication.
“Both players are smart and skilful and we are excited about their ongoing growth and the positive impact that they can have on our future success.”
New deals for Sholl and Cook take Adelaide's 2024 retention list up to six names, with Mitchell Hinge (2026), Ben Keays (2027), Luke Pedlar (2026) and Josh Worrell (2027) already penning extensions this year.
