Adelaide have confirmed wantaway Melbourne forward Alex Neal-Bullen's intentions to join the South Australian club this off-season.

Neal-Bullen's desire to return to his home state this year was revealed last month, with the Demons confirming they will assist their premiership attacker as he looks to move to South Australia for family reasons despite being under contract.

While Adelaide and Port Adelaide are the only two potential landing spots, the former has emerged as Neal-Bullen's preferred club for 2025 and beyond.

The Crows released a statement on Monday morning confirming Neal-Bullen had informed the club of his hopes to land at West Lakes this off-season.

"Melbourne's Alex Neal-Bullen has advised Adelaide of his desire to join the Club in the upcoming trade period," the statement read.

"The 28-year-old South Australian has played 176 games with the Demons, including the 2021 premiership, after being drafted from Glenelg in 2014.

"Adelaide will work with Melbourne to finalise a deal to secure Neal-Bullen when the AFL's trade period opens on October 7."

Neal-Bullen has been a reliable asset for the Demons since joining the club from Glenelg in 2014, playing 176 games in the red and blue - 96 of which have come since the start of the 2021 season.

The 28-year-old will add further experience to an exciting Crows forward line under Matthew Nicks, which already boasts promising small forward threats, Izak Rankine and Josh Rachele.

Adelaide currently holds Picks 4, 25, 42 and 60 for this year's AFL Draft.
