Adelaide Crows forwards Taylor Walker and Josh Rachele have engaged in a heated argument at team training on Wednesday at West Lakes.
Per footage released on Wednesday night's edition of Channel 9's Footy Classified, veteran Walker and second-year livewire Rachele can be seen partaking in a tense debate after it appeared Walker overlooked a leading Rachele during a forward-movement sequence.
The 19-year-old Victorian, after his lead is ignored by Walker, can be seen jumping up and down in frustration, before the duo is captured in the midst of a heated discussion.
Reporting on Wednesday evening, Channel 9's Braden Ingram told the show's panel the incident resulted in some "home truths" being delivered to the inexperienced Rachele.
"Things got a little heated at Crows training. This missed pass prompted a feisty exchange between Josh Rachele and Tex Walker," Ingram said.
"It's believed coaches and Tex delivered some home truths to Rachele."
The Murray Bushrangers graduate has averaged 18.5 disposals and 5.0 marks across the first fortnight of the season, following a blistering rookie season that netted 22 goals.
Evidently, frustrations are running high at West Lakes after the Crows' 0-2 beginning to the season, as they look to persevere from disappointing losses to GWS and Richmond.
Earlier in the week, new skipper Jordan Dawson cited the substantial difference between Adelaide's best and worst football.
"Between our best footy and our worst footy, the gap was too big — and round one was the same," Dawson said.
"It has probably got something to do with some of our personnel being a bit younger and understanding what is happening in the game and thinking about what we need to do.
"And then as leaders, I think we need to be better as well at stepping up in those moments and sort of taking charge of the group."
Adelaide is preparing for a season-defining Showdown against 1-1 Port Adelaide this Saturday evening at Adelaide Oval.
