Crows defender Luke Nankervis has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping the 21-year-old in Adelaide until at least the end of 2027.
First selected in the 2021 pre-season draft from Bentleigh, Nankervis made his senior debut for the Crows in 2023.
The defender had a breakthrough year in 2024, playing 20 games for the club. This included a Round 13 match against Richmond, where he recorded a career-high 28 disposals, 17 kicks and 11 handballs.
Nankervis said he is motivated to repay the trust the club has placed in him.
"I'm really thankful to the club. There was a time in 2021 when it didn't look like I was going to be drafted, and Adelaide backed me in and continues to do so now. I really want to pay that back," he said.
"I came in as a raw teenager with a lot to learn about footy and professionalism, and I've been able to progress enough to play 20 games last season. Hopefully, I can have another strong year and put in the work."
Adelaide's GM of List Management and Strategy, Justin Reid, said Nankervis thoroughly deserved a reward for the hard work he has shown the club.
"We like his versatility and attacking flair, and he brings a number of strengths to our team, including his athleticism and ability to defend different types of opponents," Reid said.
"We're really pleased that he has re-signed for another two years."
"I really love the group and the environment, and every day I go to training, I enjoy it."
Nankervis' signing comes as fellow defender Nick Murray recently committed to the club long-term, locking in a new deal until the end of 2028.
The Crows pre-season kicks off against the Brisbane Lions on February 27.
