Adelaide defender Nick Murray poses as a handy inclusion for the crunch clash against GWS as he looks to return from a knee injury.
In Gather Round, the Crows were unable to limit Geelong's scoring power, with Patrick Dangerfield and Jeremy Cameron kicking four goals each to contribute to a 119 total.
The task doesn't get any easier, with a Giant forward line consisting of Jesse Hogan, Toby Greene, Aaron Cadman and Jake Stringer among a talented cohort of smalls.
Adelaide defender Josh Worrell was hopeful that Murray will be fit enough to tackle Hogan - who has kicked 16 goals in three games - on Saturday, as the club looks to return to the winner's list.
The 24-year-old played the opening two rounds of the season before jarring his knee, but will rejoin main training in a bid to return to the senior side.
"For the chemistry of the backline, his is a pivotal role," Murray's fellow defender Josh Worrell said.
"We have played so much footy in the SANFL and AFL together, and so has Mark (Keane) played a lot of footy with him.
"So us as three key backs really helps."
Matthew Nicks' men rank first in the competition for points for, averaging 120 points per game in the opening five rounds of 2025.
However, they sit 12th for points against, conceding scores of 90 or above on three occasions.
Worrell thinks that a lot of the opposition's scores are coming from "mistakes" with ball use, and if they can straighten that part of their game up, it will hold them in good stead.
"A lot of the mistakes are fundamentals with our ball use," Worrell added.
"If we don't have them (mistakes), we are in a really good spot.
"It's one of those things where just a few little mistakes can cost you, and I felt like we had a few of them, and they (Geelong) were able to take advantage."
