Adelaide key defender Mark Keane has turned his back on a reunion with former club Collingwood after penning a new three-year contract extension.
Keane has been a revelation for the Crows in 2024 and was contracted for next year but received heavy interest from the Pies due to their lack of tall options alongside Darcy Moore.
The 24-year-old, who cemented his spot under Matthew Nicks - playing 21 games and shining under pressure, has recommitted to the club long-term.
Keane said he had quickly grown to love Adelaide and the city since returning to Australia from Ireland last year, and he was excited about extending his contract.
โI've thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Crows, and although it's only been two seasons, I've created a great bond with the players and staff at the Club, as well as the people of Adelaide and our fans,โ Keane said.
โI feel like I've come a long way and taken my opportunities, and hopefully, there is a lot of improvement to come in the next four years, so I can't wait to get back to work with my teammates in pre-season.โ
Adelaide GM List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said Keane had developed at a rapid rate since arriving at West Lakes and was now one of the team's most important players.

After a slow start in black and white that saw five games under Nathan Buckley, Keane has since added 26 matches to his name.
