Adelaide captain Chelsea Randall will miss her side's semi-final clash with Collingwood on Saturday after entering concussion protocols.
A head knock sustained in the late stages of the Crows' qualifying final loss to Melbourne last week saw Randall require testing and assessment on the ailment, which subsequently ruled her unfit for this week's final.
The club confirmed Randall's diagnosis on Thursday as they prepare to welcome Collingwood to Unley Oval.
โChelsea is the heart and soul of our team and we would obviously love to have her playing in such a big game however, we must and will always prioritise the health and wellbeing of our people, it's of paramount importance,โ Adelaide AFLW football boss Phil Harper said.
โWhile she has not presented with any symptoms, we have now seen vision showing different angles of the incident that according to Club and League medical experts gives grounds for her to not play under the AFL's concussion rules.
โShe is obviously very disappointed to be missing a final but in typical fashion, she is getting behind her team mates and doing all she can to help us get the win.โ
Randall made her return to Matt Clarke's lineup for their opening final against the Demons after a recent ankle injury, replacing Lisa Whitely in the 21-person side.
Whiteley was among the three listed emergencies for the Crows' qualifying final having been joined by Brooke Tonon and Marijana Rajcic.
Teams for Saturday's semi-final will be revealed at 5:30pm (AEDT) on Friday evening.
The semi-final between Adelaide and Collingwood will commence at 3:40pm, with the winner to face Brisbane next week for a spot in the Season 7 grand final.
