Carlton, Essendon captains lead way, Geelong forward records perfect game: AFL Coaches Association Champions Player votes – Round 6

The completion of the weekend's football sees the coaches once again give out their respective 5-4-3-2-1 votes.

Essendon and Carlton captains Zach Merrett and Patrick Cripps were rewarded for their inspiring performances in their tough-fought victories while Geelong forward Tyson Stengle received maximum votes for his efforts against the Lions.

Western Bulldogs duo Aaron Naughton and Bailey Dale split the votes, collecting nine each as was the case for West Coast pair Elliot Yeo and Jake Waterman.

Sydney gun Isaac Heeney extended his lead, sitting clear atop the leaderboard with 47 votes from his six outings, with Merrett trailing by 20 votes in second.
