The AFL has informed all clubs of its off-season schedule, with the player movement period set to dominate the 2025 landscape.
Already a host of clubs are gearing up toward targeting rival players, which ironically hasn't stopped at captains.
In a memo sent by the league, the AFL has revealed the upcoming key dates for both the men's and women's competitions, spanning from the Mid-Season Draft to the trade and free agency periods.
The 2025 Mid-Season Rookie Draft will be held on Wednesday, May 28.
The rookie intake is placed between Rounds 11 and 12.
The AFL Free Agency period commences on Friday, October 3 and will run until Friday, October 10.
The 2025 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period will commence on Monday, October 6 and will run until Wednesday, October 15.
Recruiters will get a taste of what to expect at the various draft combines along with the U18 leagues and championships across the nation.
Last year, the National and State Draf Combines were placed in early October, ahead of the national intake in November.
Round One of the 2025 Telstra AFL Draft will be held on Wednesday, November 19 followed by the remaining rounds of the Draft on Thursday, November 20.
The AFLW Trade Period is Thursday, December 4 - Wednesday, December 10 with the national draft to be held on Monday, December 15.
