Western Australia's squad for the 2024 National Championships has been confirmed ahead of this year's carnival.

The state's two AFL Academy headline this year's crop, with Peel Thunder's Bo Allan and Subiaco's Malakai Champion both named ahead of a highly-anticipated campaign for the duo.

Reigning WAFL Colts premiers Claremont have 12 representatives in the squad, with defensive pair Austin Van Der Struyf and Cody Curtin - the younger brother of 2023 WA MVP and Adelaide Crows selection Dan - among those picked from the Tigers.

Over-age pair Aiden Riddle and Max Rohr have also been named in the squad and will share their time between duties with the Sandgropers and Claremont.

Eight of the 33 Western Australians selected are bottom-age prospects.

Following a one-win season, Western Australia will be looking to piece together a strong carnival in 2024 and will open their season against reigning champions the Allies in New South Wales on Sunday. June 2.
