AFL Draft: 65 prospects invited to 2024 National Draft Combine

65 of this year's leading AFL Draft prospects have been invited to partake in the 2024 Draft Combine, which will be held in Melbourne in early October.

The list offers some indication of the top teenagers hoping to be drafted at November's intake, with clubs having lodged lists of 50 players they hope to get a close look at during the combine, which will fall alongside club interviews.

39 of the players invited hail from Victoria, with Western Australia and South Australia having 10 invitees each, NSW/ACT four and Queensland two, while Tasmania and the Northern Territory have none.

Among the list are father-son tied prospects Levi Ashcroft (Brisbane) and twins Ben and Lucas Camporeale (Carlton), while Northern Academy players Cooper Bell (GWS), Joel Cochran (Sydney), Logan Smith (GWS), Leonardo Lombard (Gold Coast) and Sam Marshall (Brisbane) also feature.

Essendon NGA prospect Isaac Kako and West Coast NGA talent Malakai Champion are also on the list.

Adelaide father-son prospect Tyler Welsh is one of 62 players to be invited to state Draft Combines, which will be held in Victorian, South Australia and Western Australia following the National Combines.

Welsh is joined by fellow AFL Academy members Ricky Mentha and Oliver Dean on the list, while Richmond VFL player Sam Davidson is one of three players from the state league competition to be invited.

Players will undergo testing on their vertical jump, running vertical jump, 20-metre sprint, an agility test and a 2km time trial.

The National Draft Combine will take place October 4-6, while the State Combines will be held in early-mid October.
