Adelaide will officially nominate father-son draft prospect Tyler Welsh before next month's AFL Draft.
Welsh is the son of four-time club-leading goalkicker Scott, who played 129 games for Adelaide between 2000-2007.
The 18-year-old presented the Crows in the SANFL this year while balancing duties with South Australia at the National Championships and with Woodville-West Torrens' U18s side.
Welsh booted 10 goals from as many games at the senior level for the Crows, playing alongside future teammates under coach Michael Godden. The teenager would average 8.4 disposals, 3.7 marks and 3.7 score involvements per game in the SANFL.
He would enjoy a promising U18s carnival for the Croweaters, featuring in all four games for a return of eight goals at the championships.
Welsh's sole appearance for the Eagles' junior side saw him boot eight goals from 17 disposals and 10 marks in a win over Norwood, flexing his wares as a powerful key forward at his age level.
Adelaide will be required to match a bid for Welsh at the AFL Draft should a rival club opt to select the Henley product, with the Crows needing the required points to claim the services of Welsh.
The Crows will add Welsh following the draft should no rival bid come during the national intake.
The Crows have Picks 4, 64 and 82 for the 2024 AFL Draft, which will take place on November 20-21.
