A quartet of trades will reportedly be completed prior to the beginning of Monday night's first round of the 2023 National Draft.

After a designated pick-trading window that produced silence on all fronts, four pick exchanges are set to kick things off on Monday evening.

According to AFL Media journalist Cal Twomey on Monday, St Kilda, Fremantle, and the Brisbane Lions have secured moves up the second-round order; orchestrating respective trades with Melbourne and the Gold Coast Suns.

The Saints will sacrifice a pair of picks in the 40s to snag the No. 27 selection from Gold Coast, while the Suns have secured additional picks from the Lions in exchange for Pick 24. Meanwhile, the Dockers will get their hands on the No. 38 choice for multiple third-rounders.

In addition to a host of business completed during the trade period, the Suns have seemingly acquired additional draft capital; most of which will be absorbed when they match contending bids for their quartet of Academy young guns.

The first night of proceedings at Marvel Stadium is scheduled to commence at 7:00 PM (AEDT), with the following rounds set for Tuesday evening.
