Western Australian draft prospect Daniel Curtin will not take part in the AFL Draft Combine after sustaining an unfortunate injury.
Curtin, an extremely versatile talent who projects as a starring defender at the AFL level, is understood to have suffered a hamstring injury on the eve of the Combine.
It isn't currently known when or how the ailment was sustained.
Curtin, who was the MVP winner for Western Australia at this year's National Championship, put up a mean of 16.5 disposals and 4.33 marks per game at the WAFL level as a key part of Claremont's premiership pursuit.
Curtin's Combine absence isn't likely to affect his draft positioning, with the flexible utility expected to be snapped up within the draft's top five selections.
The 2023 AFL Draft Combine, which will take place in Melbourne, is scheduled for October 6-8, with a host of talent preparing to strut their stuff for excited AFL recruiters.
The first round of the 2023 National Draft is set for Monday, November 20.
