A clinical key forward who is likely going to be the first key position player selected in the 2024 National Draft, Harry Armstrong was a dominant force throughout the year for the Sandringham Dragons in the Talent League, kicking 27 goals in 10 matches, including four in the grand final.

The tall also featured prominently in the Vic Metro side, proving his goalkicking abilities throughout the National Championships.

Armstrong also performed strongly at the AFL Draft Combine, ranking seventh (8.13 seconds) in the agility testing.

With his deadly accuracy and impressive aerial ability, the key forward has drawn a likeness to GWS star Jesse Hogan.

A host of clubs will be after Armstrong when the next crop of stars have their names called out later in the month.

Richmond has a flurry of selections (Picks 6, 10 and 11) that they could use, while Melbourne is strongly linked to the youngster, given their desperate need for a key forward. St Kilda (Picks 7 and 8) are also a chance.

Expert comments

"Mobile tall forward who is an outstanding contested mark has sure hands on the burst and is a difficult player to contain with his speed on the lead. A long and accurate left-foot kick, he continued to show his match-winning ability with the Sandringham Dragons." - Kevin Sheehan.
