West Coast have outlined their potential draft plans for 2024, with the Perth club open to trading back into the queue given their access to multiple first-round picks for next year.

The Eagles currently won't enter the draft until Pick 12, having moved back from Pick 3 in a trade deal that also involved Richmond and Carlton.

Another trade with Hawthorn during the recent player exchange window saw West Coast land 2025 first, second and third-round selections tied to the Hawks, giving the Eagles the capital to potentially add to their hand for this week's intake via live trading.

Speaking to the club's media arm, Eagles recruiter Duane Massey said that West Coast will assess their options for live trading there is no certainty of adding to their current hand.

"We've obviously got some future picks that we've banked for next year, which we could potentially use to come back in,"

"But Clarkey has done a lot of work with this pool. If we feel there is an opportunity to increase our draft hand by coming up the order we'll look at doing that."

The Eagles will have a number of top-rated prospects for when they are first on the clock, with local talent Bo Allan and Victorian trio Tobie Travaglia, Taj Hotton and Xavier Lindsay others who will be of interest to the club.

Massey said the club will attain "a good player" with their first-round selection but will have to see how the first half of night one pans out, understanding the selections before them are "out of our control".

"It is a deep draft, there is a lot of quality there, but there's a mixture of players as well," he added.

"We feel as though with where we're picking that some of it is out of our control in terms of what might get through, but we think there's a nice balance of players there that might get through to us.

"At that point we'll just make the call and pick the player. I'm confident we'll get a good player at our first pick. There's some good talent there to build our list for the future."

West Coast hold selections 12, 26, 72, 77, 87 and 92 for the 2024 AFL Draft and have nominated Next Generation Academy prospect Malaki Champion ahead of the count.

The Eagles do not have to select Champion, and could acquire the Subiaco small forward onto their rookie list if he does not receive a bid in the National Draft.
