The penultimate week of the 2024 AFL season has been confirmed, with two thrilling preliminary finals locked in to decide this year's grand finalists.
Port Adelaide and Brisbane have progressed to week three of this year's finals series off the back of semi-final victories, with interstate trips now booked for next weekend's two deciding contests.
Following their entertaining three-point victory over Hawthorn, the Power will head to the SCG on Friday, September 20 for a battle with minor premiers Sydney.
The Swans secured a week off thanks to their narrow victory over GWS last week and will host the Power in the Harbour City with a spot in this year's season decider on the line.
On the other side of the draw, Geelong and Brisbane take to the MCG after the latter kept their season alive on Saturday night with a win over GWS.
The Cats, who progressed to a home preliminary final via an 84-point hammering over Port Adelaide last Thursday, will host the LIONS in the second last game of the season on Saturday, September 21.
A twilight timeslot is set for that contest to assure Brisbane can get back home on Saturday and avoid another night interstate should they book their spot in this year's grand final.
