Former AFL great Terry Wallace has named all 18 clubs' best ever player on SEN Afternoons.
The ex-Bulldog and Tiger coach believes Ted Whitten and Royce Hart are his former clubs' best ever servants. There will be no argument over Whitten, who has a statue on the ground named after himself. Ted is Bulldog royalty.
Wallace said that Hart pipped Bartlett, going for Royce for "the pure factor of the way he played his football."
As for the club Wallace won three premierships with as a player, Hawthorn, he couldn't go past former teammate Leigh Matthews.
Gary Ablett Sr. beats out his son, Gary Jr., at Geelong. Gary Jr. instead got the nod for Gold Coast, not that there's ever been much competition.
Scott Pendlebury is the only other current player to make the list as Collingwood's best in arguably Wallace's most contentious call over names like Gordon Coventry, Peter Daicos and Nathan Buckley. The Magpies skipper is seemingly going to play elite football forever!
Michael Voss beat out premiership teammates Simon Black and Jason Akermanis at Brisbane with Wallace saying: "I just thought his dynamics and strength rose above."
Chris Judd makes the list for West Coast ahead of the likes of Peter Matera and Ben Cousins.
"I went Chris Judd, at his best he was the best player I've seen for the Eagles," he said.
