Former AFL Terry Wallace has run the rule over every club's list and found the players he is excited to see in 2020.

The former Hawthorn great has found a few hidden gems who he believes are worth keeping an eye on.

Wallace has spent most of the summer reinforcing his strong stance on Carlton recruit Jack Martin. He doubled down on these thoughts, praising how much talent the former Sun has.

โ€œHeโ€™s been one of those players that comes into the competition with so much talent and expectation but hasnโ€™t really lived up to it at this stage," Wallace told SEN.

"This is a new, fresh start for him so I canโ€™t wait to see what he delivers for the Blues.โ€

Collingwood youngster Brayden Sier garnered a lot of attention last year when he found himself in trouble for playing social basketball with friends without the club's knowledge.

However, Wallace believes he has the tools to become a regular in Collingwood's best 22 this year.

โ€œHeโ€™s what theyโ€™re missing at the moment, theyโ€™re not great at stoppage and heโ€™s the big bull."

Big St Kilda forward Max King has caught the eye of many this pre-season after he booted four goals in an intra-club last week. He looks poised to fill the key forward hole in the Saints' lineup.

Wallace said that given how much they need him there will be "real interest to see how he goes about his footy."
