Paul Roos is set to step away from his Fox Footy and On The Couch duties as he plans to focus on his own business and travel interests for the year.
The AFL Hall of Famer has inherited a key role in the networks football analysis and coverage since leaving his post with Melbourne in 2016.
While Roos is set to step away from his full-time role with Fox, he is expected to continue working with the network on special projects.
“It has been a pleasure to work with Fox Footy over the past three years,” Roos said.
“I am really looking forward to stepping back my media commitments in 2020 to focus on my corporate speaking and business interests.”
Roos has set plans to travel with wife Tami, while also looking to hold a focus on delving into his own business interests.
Steve Crawley, Fox Sports head of television, acknowledged Roos' contribution and hard work during his time with the network.
“Paul Roos has been an outstanding contributor and member of the Fox Sports team on and off air,” Crawley said.
“An integral part of our game-day coverage and magazine shows, he has proven why Fox Sports commentators are the best in the business.
“We look forward to working with him on special projects in the future.”
Crawley further added Fox was “working hard at the moment to finalise our programming for 2020 and we’ll have all the details soon.”
