Two former AFL greats believe Kade Simpson should consider playing-on next season if a club offers him a new deal.
Simpson's 342-game career at Carlton came to an end on Saturday night, despite the 36-year-old showing signs slowing down.
Jordan Lewis and Brad Johnson agree Simpson could play-on for a 19th season and have urged rival clubs to make an enquiry.
“I would ask the question,” Lewis said on Fox Footy’s Saturday Stretch.
“If I was another club in a list management position, I would just ask the question whether he had the energy and the want to go on.”
Johnson reiterated Lewis' sentiment and urged clubs to ask the question.
“Absolutely I would, 100 per cent I would ask the question.”
Simpson played 16 games this season and averaged 15 disposals per game.
