Melbourne forward Jacob van Rooyen will miss Sunday's game against West Coast as he has entered concussion protocols.
Sidelined for a minimum of 12 days, van Rooyen will not make the trip west following an incident in the final quarter of Thursday's loss to Carlton.
The 21-year-old was seen entering a marking contest and when returning to the ground, made head contact with teammate Jack Viney's knee, according to Channel 9's Tom Morris.
Due to the knock, van Rooyen was sent for a concussion test and failed, meaning he'll miss at least Round 10.
This latest injury comes as the weekend saw a large toll across the board that has clubs scrambling for depth players.
The Blues lost both Marc Pittonet (finger) and Adam Cerra (hamstring) on the night as well.
