Carlton's Nic Newman will await the AFL Match Review Officer's findings from Saturday's finals action following an incident involving Brisbane star Lachie Neale.
Newman was placed on report for an altercation with Neale in the fourth quarter of the elimination final at the Gabba, with the latter seen to run toward the Blues defender at pace.
Prior to the collision, footage captures Newman raising his right arm, with Neale felled as a result before a free kick was paid against Newman.
The MRO could charge Newman with striking, with the off-ball incident a chance to garner a conduct grading of 'intentional' instead of 'careless'.

The level of contact looks to strike Neale above the torso and may warrant a grading of 'high', with the level of impact expected to decide whether Newman is fined or suspended should the incident in question be deemed as a reportable offence.
A 'low' impact grading would result in a fine, while a 'medium' grading or higher would see Newman handed a ban and face missing the start of the 2025 AFL season.
Newman may not be the only Blue to gain the scrutiny of the MRO, with Carlton captain Patrick Cripps also a chance to earn a striking or rough conduct charge for an off-ball incident on Brisbane midfielder Jarrod Berry in the third term.
Cripps knocked Berry to the ground from behind and was penalised with a free kick being awarded to the Lions as Blues forward Harry McKay prepared to have a shot on goal.
The MRO's findings from Saturday's two finals matches will be handed down on Sunday evening, with a number of melee fines expected to arise from the earlier game between Sydney and GWS.
