The AFL's Match Review Officer has charged two players from Friday's game between the Western Bulldogs and Collingwood and has offered an explanation for an incident from the match.
Collingwood's Beau McCreery can accept a fine of $1000 with an early plea for a charge โother misconduct' on Dogs tall Rory Lobb for a third quarter incident.
Dogs star Ed Richards can accept a $1000 fine for making careless contact with an umpire in the fourth term.
Meanwhile, Lobb has avoided a striking charge for an incident involving Magpies ruckman Mason Cox for a fourth-quarter marking contest that saw Lobb's fist make contact with Cox's head in an attempt to spoil the ball.
โThe incident involving Western Bulldog's Rory Lobb and Collingwood's Mason Cox from the Fourth Quarter of Friday's match was assessed. It was the view of the MRO that Lobb made a genuine attempt to spoil and that it was not reasonably foreseeable his actions would result in a reportable offence being committed. No further action was taken,โ the MRO wrote in an explanation for why Lobb avoided a charge.
The MRO has also not charged Magpie Jack Crisp for a tackle on Rhylee West from the first term.
No other players were charged from Friday's game.
