Melbourne forward Kysaiah Pickett could find himself in hot water with the AFL's Match Review Officer for a bump he committed on Carlton captain Patrick Cripps.

During the second quarter of Friday night's all-important semi-final between the Demons and Blues, Pickett elected to bump Cripps.

The majority of contact went to Cripps' chest, though he bled from his nose and was forced to exit the field. He didn't appear to need to undergo an HIA, though, as he quickly re-entered the MCG and was able to continue playing.

Pickett found himself in hot water with Michael Christian earlier in the season when he collected Bulldog Bailey Smith high. He was banned for two games for that act.

Any potential MRO decision regarding Pickett's latest indiscretion will come on Saturday night.
