The Match Review Officer has handed down two charges from Friday's game between Geelong and Melbourne, with Demons forward Bayley Fritsch receiving a fine for rough conduct on Cats defender Tom Stewart.

The Fritsch penalty comes as a result of a 'tunnelling' act on Stewart during the match, with the Demon taking out the lower half of his opponent in a marking contest.

Fritsch's actions have earned the ire of the MRO, who graded the incident as careless conduct, low impact and body contact, resulting in a fine.

Fritsch has been offered a fine of $2500, which can be reduced to $1500 with an early plea.

Meanwhile, Geelong's Oliver Dempsey has been charged with 'staging' for a third-term incident.

Dempsey can accept a $1000 fine with an early plea, which would be reduced from the base sanction of $1500.

No other players were charged from Friday's action.

    That was deliberate.
    Blatantly intentional.

The โ€œMROโ€ is simply not in any way consistent, โ€œfairโ€ or impartial.
    Itโ€™s fixed.
