The AFL's Match Review Officer has handed down one charge from Friday's game between Sydney and Carlton, with a star Swan hit with a striking charge for a second-quarter incident.
The strike in question saw Warner raise his arm as he approached Carlton ruckman Marc Pittonet, with Warner having initially braced to be tackled before fumbling possession and making high contact with his opponent.
Pittonet was floored as a result of the collision but was able to play out the remainder of the game.
The incident has been viewed as a reportable offence by the MRO, with Warner's actions graded as careless conduct, high contact and low impact, resulting in a fine.
Warner can accept a penalty of $3750 or challenge the charge and risk an increased fine of $6250 if unsuccessful.
No other player was charged form Friday's action.
