Brisbane forward Eric Hipwood has been handed a one-game ban by the AFL's Match Review Officer following a dangerous tackle on Richmond's Nick Vlastuin.
The incident in question occurred during the second quarter of Saturday's game between the Lions and Tigers, with Hipwood taking hold of Vlastuin - who was in possession of the ball - before turning him and eventually tackling him to the ground at speed.
Hipwood's actions have been deemed careless by the MRO, who also graded the tackle as high contact and medium impact, resulting in a one-game suspension.
If accepted, Hipwood will miss Brisbane's upcoming game against Hawthorn in Round 11. He can choose to challenge the charge at the AFL Tribunal.
Vlastuin also came away from the game with a charge from the MRO, with a strike on Hipwood in the second term seeing the Tigers defender handed a fine.
The strike has been graded as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact, resulting in a fine of $3750 with an early plea.
If challenged and unsuccessful, Vlastuin would need to pay an increased fine of $6250.
Elsewhere, Adelaide's Match Crouch and Collingwood's Lachie Sullivan have both been charged for careless contact with an umpire.
The pair ban both accept fines of $1250 with early pleas, or risk increased fines of $1875 if unsuccessful in challenging the charge.
