The AFL's Match Review Officer may scrutinise an incident involving Brisbane young gun Will Ashcroft from Thursday's three-club pre-season hitout.
An incident during the third term between the Lions and Gold Coast off the ball could see Ashcroft earn unwanted MRO attention.
Positioned in front of Gold Coast gun Matt Rowell at a throw-in contest, Ashcroft is seen to swing his right arm back into his opponent's midriff, with Rowell left grimacing as a result of the hit.
Will Ashcroft gave away a free kick to Matt Rowell for this incident in the pre-season match sim.

Rowell was awarded with a free kick for the off-ball incident, with the Suns midfielder able to continue in the game shortly after retrieving the ball.
The incident could spell some concern for Ashcroft ahead of the new season, with the MRO likely to assess the matter in the coming days.
The incident, should it be deemed as a reportable offence and warrant a striking charge, could be graded as 'intentional' given the play was not live. The contact grading would also be 'body', with the impact grading potentially determining the extent of the punishment handed down to Ashcroft.
A 'low' impact grading would see Ashcroft slapped with a fine, while a 'medium' grading or higher would result in a suspension.
Another incident just moments later involving Ashcroft's brother Levi and Suns forward Ben Long could also earn the MRO's ire, with Long collecting Ashcroft with a bump soon after he disposed of the ball.
Ashcroft was able to get to his feet and subsequently made his way off the field with no assistance.
A rough conduct charge could be handed down to Long by the MRO, who could grade the incident as careless conduct, body contact (should no head contact be found) and either low or medium impact, likely resulting in a fine.
There's always some spice in the Q-Clash, even in February ๐

An impact grading higher than medium, or if high contact was found and the impact was greater than low, Long would then be facing a suspension.
The MRO is expected to hand down their findings from the first week of pre-season games in the days after the final game of the week.
