The AFL Match Review Officer has released his findings from Saturday's slate of games, handing down a pair of sanctions.

Adelaide Crows defender Brodie Smith and Gold Coast Suns forward Malcolm Rosas have each been hit with fines by Michael Christian following their respective Saturday contests.

Smith was sanctioned after he was found to have struck Brisbane Lions forward Eric Hipwood during the Crows' loss to the Lions at the Gabba. Adelaide's veteran defender received a $3,000 fine, with the opportunity to reduce that to $2,000 with an early plea.

Meanwhile, Rosas was charged with rough conduct against Sydney defender Aaron Francis early on Saturday afternoon during the Suns' clash with the Swans at the SCG. Like Smith, Rosas has been fined $3,000 with the ability to reduce that to $2,000 with an early plea.

There were no suspensions handed down from Saturday's action.
