A total of seven players have been charged by the AFL's Match Review Officer from Saturday's Round 18 action.

North Melbourne ruckman Tristan Xerri has been hit with a kneeing charge for a third-quarter act on Sydney's Brodie Grundy.

The actions of Xerri have been graded as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact, resulting in a fine for the Roos tall.

Xerri can accept a $2500 fine with an early plea or risk a $3750 fine should he choose to challenge the charge and fail.

Adelaide's Josh Rachele has been charged with kicking St Kilda's Dougal Howard from Saturday night's game at Adelaide Oval.

The MRO graded Rachele's actions as careless conduct, low impact and body contact, with the Crows young gun able to accept a $3125 fine with an early plea.

A failed challenge would see Rachele penalised with a $5000 fine.

St Kilda trio Hunter Clark, Zak Jones and Jack Steele have all been charged with making careless contact with an umpire from Saturday's game against Adelaide.

Steele and Jones can enter early guilty pleas and walk away with $1250 fines, while Clark can also enter an early plea and cop a $1875 fine.

Crows pair Jake Soligo and Sam Berry have been hit with the same charge as the St Kilda contingent and can accept fines of $1250 and $1875 respectively with early guilty pleas.
