St Kilda midfielder Marcus Windhager has been suspended by the AFL's Match Review Officer after being charged with rough conduct.

A second-quarter incident from Saturday's match between the Saints and Bombers involving Windhager and Essendon's Sam Durham has seen the former offered a one-game ban.

The MRO graded the incident as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact, resulting in the suspension.

An accepted charge would mean Windhager is unavailable for selection for Round 4 when the Saints face Richmond.

Windhager would then be next available the following week when the Saints meet GWS at Manuka Oval on Saturday, April 13.

Elsewhere, Melbourne's Trent Rivers can accept a $2500 fine with an early guilty plea for rough conduct on Port Adelaide's Conor Rozee.

Rivers' actions were graded as careless conduct, low impact and high contact. A failed challenge of the charge would mean Rivers is fined $3750.

No other charges were cited from Saturday's action.
