Sydney veteran Dane Rampe is free to play in next week's AFL Grand Final after the AFL Match Review Officer (MRO) declared Friday's preliminary final incident involving Port Adelaide's Zak Butters to be worthy of a fine.
The opening quarter altercation saw Rampe and Butters collide on the SCG wing, with the latter collecting the ball and immediately disposing of it by hands before contact between the pair.
Rampe's late and high bump on Butters saw Port Adelaide awarded a down-field free kick, with Butters floored as a result of the incident. The Power star was able to get to his feet straight away and play out the match.
The MRO graded the incident as careless conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in a $3,750 fine ($2,500 early plea).
The Swans could have captain Callum Mills available next weekend after he was ruled out of facing the Power with a hamstring strain.
No other players were charged from Friday's clash.
