After Round 10 the AFL Power Rankings are starting to find some consistency and teams are finding their place among the league's pecking order. Water has started to find it's level at the bottom of the ladder, with the bottom five teams unable to find movement after last weekend.

1. West Coast (-)

Impressive win after impressive win, this team just continues to close out games. The Eagles were able to beat a relatively formidable Hawthorn team by 15 points at Etihad Stadium last weekend, continuing their strong form in interstate matches this season.

2. Richmond (-)

Richmond have hung on to the number two spot on this week's power rankings, sitting pretty behind the slightly more impressive Eagles. Their win over the weekend was as expected, getting a comfortable win against a bottom-tier team at the MCG is like clockwork. Also like clockwork, is seeing Richmond at the top.

3. Sydney (+1)

A win over the Lions was all Sydney needed to move into the top four on the table and have been unbeatable on the road this season, keeping their away record perfect. Their record against the Lions reads 'Win' all the way back until 2009 too.

4. Melbourne (+1)

The Melbourne bandwagon is about to be on it's merry way so jump aboard now, this group is rolling. Melbourne, joined by West Coast are the only two teams in the AFL right now that can both say that they have won their last five matches and last weekend they did it emphatically. Their 91-point win over the Crows was completely dominating and they showed no mercy against the grand final runners-up.

5. Geelong Cats (+1)

Cats legend Gary Ablett returned to GMBHA Stadium for the first time since he came home to Geelong and they were able to pull out a competitive win against Carlton. Ablett's return was dubbed a 'let down' and young forward prodigy Esava Ratugolea suffered a broken ankle which put a bad taste in fans' mouth, but they were able to pull out a gutsy win in the end.

6. Adelaide (-3)

The Crows copped their biggest loss since Round 11, 2011, when they were beaten by 95-points. While they've split their last month of football to a 2-2 record, if they are going to maintain a top-eight spot on the ladder, they will need to find some consistency as teams like Collingwood, North Melbourne and Geelong start to find form and round out the bottom of the eight, for now.

7. Collingwood (+2)

Collingwood entered the top eight after Round 9 and if they continue their solid form, they might just stay there. The Pies played an interesting match against the Bulldogs, trailing by as much as 26-points at one stage of the game, only to win by 35-points when it was all said and done. Adam Treloar starred with 40 possessions and Tom Phillips joined him with 36 of his own.

8. Port Adelaide (-)

Both Port Adelaide and the Gold Coast Suns were granted a bye following their Round 9 match held in Shanghai, China.

9. North Melbourne (+1)

The Kangaroos have been in-form over the past month of action and they have continued to pull off promising wins. This time against Fremantle, they overcame poor goal kicking accuracy and won by 28 points in damp conditions. As they continue to build momentum, we could see them reach higher places on the power rankings.

10. Hawthorn (-3)

The Hawks suffered their third-straight loss at the hands of the top of the ladder Eagles last weekend and competing with them is no easy task. Hawthorn will be looking to find some consistent form as the first half of the season begins to wind down.

11. Essendon (+2)

Essendon were unlikely winners on the weekend, getting the better of Greater Western Sydney at Spotless Stadium. Their 35-point win against the undermanned Giants could be a game that gives them a little rhythm going into next round.

12. GWS (-1)

The injury-riddled Giants were off to a bad start in the first quarter against the Bombers, going down by 17-points in the first term. This loss marks their fourth-straight loss and are fighting to find a win among their injury issues.

13. Western Bulldogs (-1)

The Bulldogs have been hard to understand this season, as their fluctuations in form continue to peak and dip and now it's happened in the heat of a game. Collingwood's comeback win against the Dogs was a textbook showcase of their inability to close out matches.

14. Fremantle (-)

It's been a rough season for Freo, sitting in middle ground, between the dead bottom and the edge of the top-eight, however it seems they are without real chance top break through and make the finals.

15. Brisbane (-)

The Lions let a home game slip away but gave great effort throughout the game. Their toughness was noted and seen throughout the duration of the match, unfortunately the Swans just seemed rarely in danger of losing the match.

16. Gold Coast Suns (-)

Both Port Adelaide and the Gold Coast Suns were granted a bye following their Round 9 match held in Shanghai, China.

17. St Kilda (-)

Were a competitive chance at certain stages of the game against Richmond last weekend, and were strong in many aspects. Their disposal numbers were higher, had more tackles and matched the Tigers in clearances, but skill, structure and experience prevailed in the end.

18. Carlton (-)

Carlton made the Cats win in ugly fashion last weekend, which is a credit to them and their effort. Their goal kicking accuracy was an unfortunate aspect of the match, kicking five goals to their 15 behinds. Had they kicked straighter, who knows what could have happened.
