The AFL has confirmed further details for the pre-season schedule for 2022, with the AAMI Community Series set to follow nine unofficial pre-season practice matches.
Devenport Oval will be home to the Tigers vs Hawks game on Saturday, March 5, with that match set to pay tribute to the Hillcrest Primary tragedy from late last year in Tasmania.
Marvel Stadium will be host to three pre-season clashes as part of the AAMI Community Series, with the Blues and Demons opening the five-day fixture on Thursday, March 3 at Docklands.
The Bulldogs will host the Lions the following night at the same venue, with the Bombers and Saints also set for a showdown at Marvel Stadium on the Saturday.
Local derbies between the Crows and Power, and the Eagles and Dockers will also take place in South Australia and Western Australia respectively.
The Suns will host the Cats on Monday, March 7 at Metricon Stadium to conclude the AAMI Community Series, with Round 1 of the AFL Premiership season set to begin the week after on Wednesday, March 16.
As part of the unofficial practice matches, the Crows and Power will be the only sides venturing interstate, heading to Metricon Stadium to face the Lions and Suns respectively.
Collingwood and Hawthorn will clash in regional Victoria when they face-off at Morwell Recreation Reserve, while the Giants and Swans are also set to travel to Lavington for their practice match.
