The AFL has received three nominations from clubs for father-son selections for bidding purposes ahead of next week's draft.
Collingwood has officially nominated Callum Brown and Josh Daicos, while West Coast has nominated Jake Waterman.
However, surprisingly, Adelaide has not nominated Ben Jarman, the son of former Crows champions, Darren Jarman.
Geelong nominated Sam Simpson, son of Sean, who played 114 games for the Cats, as a potential father-son nominee last month, however, also did not officially nominated the youngster.
Father-sons not nominated at today's final deadline will go into the open draft.
The Crows released the following statement in regards to Jarman a short time ago:
The Adelaide Crows will head to the national draft with Ben Jarman part of their broader talent order after the AFL's father-son paperwork lodgment process closed today.
Jarman will be closely considered and could join the Club through the usual draft process in Sydney on November 25.
The 18-year-old is the son of two-time Adelaide premiership player Darren Jarman, who also played 109 games for Hawthorn.
Crows General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said the club had been open, transparent and in regular contact with the Jarman family throughout the father-son process.
“As we have previously stated, we will be true to our talent order, which Ben is part of, and see how the draft selections fall,” Reid said.
